MealsMatch ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect and how we use it.
Location data: We use your device location to find nearby restaurants when you use the app. Location is only used to search for restaurants in your area and is not stored on our servers beyond what is needed for your active session.
Display name: When you create or join a match, you may provide a display name. This is shared with others in your match session so they can see who voted.
Session and vote data: When you participate in a match, we store your votes (likes/dislikes) and associate them with the session. This allows us to determine the winning restaurant and show results.
Push notifications (optional): If you enable notifications, we use your device token to send you alerts when a match session has ended. You can disable this at any time in your device or app settings.
We use your data solely to operate the MealsMatch service: finding restaurants, running match sessions, delivering results, and optional notifications. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your display name and votes are visible only to participants in the same match session. We share restaurant data (names, addresses) from OpenStreetMap and similar sources to provide the service.
Session data and match history are retained so you can view past results. You can delete individual history items from within the app.
You may request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us. You can stop using the app at any time and request that we delete your account and associated data.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
